I know I mentioned Switchfoot several times in my blog, but they are my #1 favorite band. They are a really great band, there is so much meaning to their music, and they make really good music to their songs. They just keep getting better. I love that every song of their's there is a special meaning, it is a clear and simple meaning but one that is very beautiful and true. Even with the electric guitar their songs seem to sooth me down and rock me to sleep. Their music makes me feel safe, fuzzy and warm, and close to everything that is beautiful and serene, and to God. I find it filled with hope and there are no words to describe how hopeful and optimistic their music makes me feel. Well this post is just to praise their work, and to say that I would like to meet them someday. That would be really awesome! I posted some of the songs I really love from them, even though I love all of their music, I still posted my top favorite several days ago, I titled it "Life Is Still Worth Living". And Yes the title of my post is part of the lyrics of their song called "Your Love is a Song". Switchfoot is like looking through Heaven's eyes. : )

I grew up in the Catholic faith, going to church on Sundays, and going to church school. I attended church school when I was in middle school, high school, and one year in my college years, I think I was in my Sophomore year when I attended church school, I'm a Senior in College by the way. I found church school really nice to go to, I feel very happy I did attend. Well my point for this post is the song from the movie Prince of Egypt - When You Believe, reminds me so much of my faith as a catholic/christian. Wow this is something very exciting!! I remember just that time my sophomore math teacher Mr. Acker was pointing out 5/5/05 or was it 6/6/06 lol... I don't remember so much about the numbers, but I just remember he told us we should remember such dates because they will not happen ever again in our life time. Not until, of course, it is 11/11/3011 which I doubt we will be alive. lol Anyways he was telling us, his students, it only happens once in a life time, and why not take those little things of life and make them something really cool and significant.

Speaking about Mr. Acker, he was a really great teacher, he made class always fun and then after teaching us at the end of the school year, he told us he wasn't going to teach anymore, that he loved being a teacher but his calling went to something else and that was to preach about God. So that is what he is doing now as I write. It is so funny because he is the only teacher I remember so well. I am going to be a teacher someday, I look up to the good teachers I had. Mr. Acker always engaged us in math problems, and I always got good grades in his class, and now that I hear him preach the word of the Lord at his church (only i don't go to his church i hear his sermons through his website) I admire him and look up to him even more. I am really happy for him and I hope someday I will find my calling as well. Thank you Mr. Acker for teaching us math and teaching us too, when you became a pastor, about Jesus. God bless you so much, and I bet He has already, and I hope my faith will grow just as yours.

UPDATE: Yay!! My boyfriend and I made a wish/prayer at exactly 11:11pm 11/11/11. I don't know I just thought it would be a fun little thing. It was really exciting to do this with my boyfriend because I love him. Doing this with him just made it so much funner!! yay!! : ) Well whatever we wished for, whatever they were lol, I'm not saying my wish, I hope they come true. Actually wishes don't come true just by waiting we must work toward them. : ) I know lol a little dissapointing but dont' you prefer to work toward your wishes, dreams, goals than just be sitting in your a** and be waiting for them o.O that just doesn't make sense to me. I believe that we must have the courage to work toward them. Capish? lols : ). Well I have to admit some wishes do come true with just believign in them. But isn't when you believe in something don't you also work toward it at the same time because you believe in it? : )

I read that the song was about a person overtaken by sin - alcohol, drugs, etc.. - and they are asking God to forgive them... to set them free. It is a very powerful message.

I really love that the author of the video used Kingdom Hearts, because it depicts the war we are with good vs evil. I heard Kingdom Hearts shows a lot of spiritual power in the game. I've never played Kingdom Hearts before, but now I'm really interested in playing it. Now I know which game to buy next time. : )

Cold weather is no fun.
It feels so different. I'm used to the hot weather in the valley I find cold weather really strange and annoying. Cold weather here feels like if some strange magician teleported us to a new place where it is cold, lonely, quiet, and boring. Those are the cold days here in the valley. They are nothing like the warm, hot weathers in spring or summer. Cold weathers during the mid-day aren't so cool, they make me feel bored... however, happiness is a choice isn't it. I think i should change my perspective about cold weathers. Maybe I can do something fun to change my negative view about the cold weather. But what can I do. I know talk to my boyfriend, my friends, and my family. They always cheer me up 95% of the time. haha yeah. Or I can find something new to do if they aren't available at the moment I feel depressed about the weather. Weather has nothing on me. >:3 Right!?
Well I do have to admit the weather in winter is so wonderful when the Christmas lights are up, and a hot cup of chocolate with cinnamon cookies are ready to eat and drink. It's pure sacredness. I can't wait for hot chocolate season... mmmm. They are the best!!

This song is from the movie Balto (1995). It is a beautiful, inspiring song, listen to it. It gives me chills every time. Reminds me of when I used to watch it with my dad and sisters.

Balto (1995), the animated movie, is based on an incredible true story about a dog hero and his team, who raced through 600 miles of frozen lands and treacherous blizzards to save the children from diphtheria in Nome, Alaska.

There is another movie called "Balto's Race to Nome" (1925) it is a very very old movie where the real Balto and his team star in. The animated movie Balto (1995) and the true story are told differently, but this is the true story of Balto and his team racing to Nome, Alaska. I wish there was a more accurate and clear telling of the story but from a dense amount of research I got this understanding of Balto and his team's amazing story. I try to retell it as much accurately as possible. Read below.

On January 20, 1925 an epidemic called diphtheria swept the little village of Nome, Alaska. The only serum to combat against the virus was found in Anchorage, Alaska, 1000 miles away. Transportation methods where nearly impossible because of the dangerous blizzards at that time. A train was able to transport the antidote a couple of miles until it could no longer go any father. The only way that the antidote could be transported through the rest of the 647 miles left between Nenana and Nome, was by a relay of sled dogs.

Balto, a Siberian husky, led the sled dog team owned by Gunnar Kassen. After several relay mushers it was Gunnar Kassen turn to run the rest of the trail to Nome. When they reach the outskirts of Nenana "a blinding blizzard began dropping temperatures to -50 degrees and generating wind gusts in excess of 5o mph. Kassen found himself unable to navigate, and almost gave up all hope of making it to Nome in time. But Balto knew the trail well, and, following his instincts, led the team through the cold and snow. Over the next 20 hours, Balto slowly led his sled dog team over the 53 miles. On February 2 at 5:30 AM, the team finally arrived in Nome. The dogs were too tired to even bark, but the serum had successfully been delivered -- only seven days after leaving Anchorage, and just 127 1/2 hours after leaving Nenana" (Balto).

I believe as much as the hero Balto is for leading his team and saving the children of Nome, his team of sled dogs were also part of perilous journey and so therefore deserve such honor and respect. So lately I been watching this makeup tutorials
on Youtube from very great gurus, and I have
become very happy with what I've learn from this
gurus. I have become more and more into taking care of
my face and making sure I put sunblock when I go outside.
It's just so fascinating to know how to use makeup
in a very natural, balanced way. It's fun putting on
makeup and just good to know that I'm not going to look silly
or too colorful haha. Well it's also kinda my new hobby or my
new thing to go shopping for makeup and facial stuff that
will nourish my skin, and make it much more healthier than ever.
It has definitely made me more confident about myself ^_^...

My Collage

The project for Art Appreciation, a hand-made collage. The Left side is a tiny bit cut out because it didn't fit in my scanner. I used pictures from the Internet and just print them out, paste them onto the cardboard, but of course before doing that I made a pretty cool background, with four simple colors and textures. The one in the middle, color light brown with writing on it, is my story I just printed it out on the light brown paper, and ta-da! A background ^-^! I hope the professor hands it back to me. I want to put it up in my room.

Anyways, jeez long time since I wrote here. Well, not much is going on, but college is pretty tough. Study, study, study and more studying. Tough test, quizes, exams and all that.

This trailer is based on one of James Patterson's bestselling books Maximum Ride. The clips from the trailer were taken from other movies, I suppose.I recognized the first few clips from Harry Potter. But, all in all, It super darn awesome!! Watch it! It gave me chills.

Though, one thing I didn't like about it, was the last part. I was going sooo freaking awesome but the last part, where the song from Kelly clarkson comes up, kind of messed it up.

Well I was scheming through Rob Thurman's website and guess what I found out!!! Rob Thurman is in fact a girl... I thought she was a guy. I mean judging by the name, Rob Thurman, and the fact that I never really troubled looking up the gender of the author. Not that it matters, but I was like, OMG Rob is a girl! I'm astounded, it's amazing how she goes into the minds of guys and how she can make her characters real and cool. I mean I have no clue what goes in the mind of a guy. And when I write a story it is pretty hard thinking like a boy... I have no freaking idea what goes through there mind!

Yay! Rob Thurman Rocks!!

Her next book is Madhouse, coming out on 2008, and I can't wait to read it!
I totally love her books! And I heart Cal and Niko ^-^!

It makes sense doesn't it. Niko, Cal and Goodfellow are described very handsomely. Why coudn't I see that before? Only woman know how to describe very sexy men. ^-~ And there were some other things I also notice, but I don't feel like explaning them all.

My sister is just reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows I told her not to tell me about it. But she let out some spoilers.

Anyways, I'm not yet reading Harry Potter cuz my sis is reading it. I warned her not to give me spoilers or else when Madhouse by Rob Thurman comes out, I'll be giving her all the spoiler, before she reads it. Muahahaa! I'll spoil it for her. That sounds mean, probably I won't do it. I don't like being a blah mouth. Right... anyways, I'm currently reading Greywalker by Kat Richardson. Its a good book. I recommended it to people who like crime investigations, together with mystery. And those of you who like ghost stories, you'll probably like this book, as well. I'm nearly finished with it so... I'm off with the book.

I erased many groups I've joined in the pass. Like Bebo and Varsity World. I never really went into them. And I believe I had to erase them. So heck I did. So, so long. I erased some other ones that I really never cared about. I kept Myspace, since all my friends were in it. I deleted many pictures in my document as well. I've been making changes here and there. I'm keeping my Blogger of course. I've been writing alot. Can't stop writing or else i'll be in bad mood. XP Lol... anyways writing stories and such. Probably I'll post one up, so ya can read it.

Well so far I've been reading, too. XP Yeah... I know... book worm. Whatever. I don't care. Stories really fasinate me. The story, the characters, the plot, the conflict, all that. Anyways I been chatting with my friend in MSN Messanger thing... yeah it's like my first time. It's fun thought ^-^.

I was scheming through some Maximum Ride Fan-arts in DeviantArt and I came across this really awesome picture, there-->>
Maximum Ride Concept The Flock <<-- I love that picture. Max looks like i imagined her to be. Next to her, in the back must be Nudge. She doesn't look quite like I imagined her but the drawing is cool. And next to Max must be Fang. He looks hot. And next to Fang must be Gazzy or Iggy... not sure. Really cool guy though... love his expression on his face and the goggles or glasses are awesome. And lastly, on the back next to the unidentified boy must be Ari. That's a pretty cool drawing of him. That's closely like I imagine him. This artist is really good. I love his gallery. So far that's the best picture of Max and Ari, and Nudge too. Actually I wish he could have drawn the whole flock. That would be awesome. Twilight

I gotta say Twilight was a very good book. I don't believe it, but I loved it. At first I thought it was going to be about bloody, sucking vampires but then ---- it wasn't. I love Twilight and can't wait to read New Moon. I recommend this book to all those girls who love romantic stories. This book gives me freaking chills, even when I think about it. Well anyways, since the Harry Potter book will be coming out in about two weeks, I guess I'll be reading HP first. I won't miss it at all. OMG! It's the last book from the HP series, I can't believe it. Well I gotta believe it because the OotP movie was awesome. I give it a two thumbs up! I loved the beginning, but of course like most movies made out from a book, are missing very-awaiting parts and that's the bad news: The movie was missing parts that i really wanted to see.

Well long time I haven't post up. I don't have interesting news, just news that will bored you. So I won't waste time writing that. But so far my summer has been good. Not bad at all. I haven't found a job, so that sucks, but I'm not in hurry to find one, perhaps when I enter college, then I'll be desperate to find a job. -__- But besides that, my sister's and I have been renting some movies, I've been losing a lot of weight.... Some great news huh. -_- Anyways, I've been traveling too ^-^! I went to Mexico to visit my family. The weather is torture over there, it's freaking hot. No rain, just the hot, blinding sun.

That's about it. I've been working on my story, it's coming out pretty good. Can't wait to finish it. Something really bothers me,thought, I have no idea what I want to study. I love writing and reading, perhaps an English teacher... or not.... don't really wan to be that. Ugh... I'm so scared, because of that. I hope I find something that I truly love. I was planing to be a veterinarian or a musician but what the heck. Everything is confusing or perhaps I'm just out of my mind.... *sigh*

You must go to Maximumride.com, NOW. Erasers have trashed it! At first I was like WTF is going on! I was so stunned I couldn't believe my eyes. Plus there might not be no movie after all... is that true... because I was like going crazy voting! I feel so excited and uneasy at the same time... what is going on? What will the flock do now? So is there going to be a fourth book? I just don't know. So many questions in mind. Oh by the way what's up with the color of the mouse, mines green and some people are saying their's is pink or something. Despite all that unexpected scene there is good news, which is obvious, we reached 5,000,000!!!! Yay....... now what???

For now I'm going be coloring the whole screen in green. You know just becouse I'm bored.....
